Sea Turtle Lagoon Resort: Tabogon, Cebu, Philippines

Sea Turtle Lagoon Resort - Tabogon, Cebu, Philippines

I guess everyone needs leisure time to let themselves unwind and even perhaps take some time to put aside worries, exhaust, hates, responsibilities and other facts. This current blog post is an experience of our unexpected visit to Sea Turtle Lagoon Resort, located at Camoboan, Tabogon, Cebu.

It was 2nd quarter this year (2012) as we were excited few days before our visit to Tabogon, thinking what will be an appropriate baptism gift for a newly born baby of a common friend (my husbands workmate) for that coming Sunday. Then came Saturday, and we opted of buying one for our presents. Thinking might be awkward if we don't bring such as gift(s). So, we had bought a sort of toy for toddler. Then came Sunday, and we left our house (at Mandaue City, Cebu) in early dawn around 4:00am so that we could be able to catch up with the 5:00am (or earlier) bus departure. Then finally able to ride a bus at around 5:00am beyond, heading to Northern part of Cebu in the Municipality of Tabogon. The travel took us to an approximately between 2-3hours.

At the Tabogon proper, travelers who wish to visit the said resort, still have to ride a motorcycle for hire (locals call it as Habal-habal) and hail anyone of them and ask to drop you off to the resort destination. I guess travel time takes about 20minutes or less.

Then, we had our first itinerary that morning by witnessing the baptism until it's done and proceeded to their house to ate lunch while the celebration also is being held. After a while, the couple was planning that they wants us to make a tour to an amazing resort, glad that they had a vehicle to reach the destination in convenience (It can also reached by Habal-habal). It took us around 15minutes travel reaching this destination - Sea Turtle Lagoon Resort. Glad that the couple had able to toured us their place and introduced the resort.

Bunch of flowers can be seen around the resort that really gives compliment of the resort.

An overlooking view of the ocean while staying at the Kiosk/cottage.

The fishermen has captured big fish and was hailing (at the shore) at some staff /and the owner of the resort.
His selling his (caught) fish for about 800.00Php.

For those who loves diving, this spot can be suit for you...

Just having a remembrance...

Rooms available in the resort, price about 2,000.00Php.

My first impression while at the gate of the resort was not really appraising. It was shameful to me when I got inside and discover the amazing serene resort, it's Sea Turtle Lagoon. It's primary location is situated in distant place from going North Highway road of Cebu Province.

It was with great privilege having visited the place in an unexpected. The resort is highly recommended for newly wed couples who wants their honeymoon spent in a serene resort, this is somehow perfect.

    1. Hi Lynda,

Apologize for this delayed response. Thanks by the way in your interest and with regards to your request yes of course you may grab one of the photos you most love. Actually i still have lots of recent photos taken last April 2013 at Sea Turtle Resorts but was not able to make a new post of it. The photos in this particular post was during our visit last year. It's kind a bit busy with other matter. If you wanted to, I may share them with you...

      Thanks and regards...

  6. That is very kind of you. I have not been there since Aug 2011 so I would be interested in photos of the newly created northern development and any other new bits that would help to develop the website. I will of course credit you with the new images.
    Thanks, Lynda.

  7. It was my first time to visit Cebu Philippines last month and it was really fun. It was such a huge, busy and modern city compared of course to where I came from (Cotabato City). It was a 3 days vacation and it wasn’t enough because we had a Cebu - Bohol trip. Both destinations were tourists spots-filled and I’m looking forward to return and visit more awesome places that I’ve seen on TV or internet and also this one on your post =D
